The content of the manager's work style

In terms of content, the work style expresses its own special way of thinking and acting based on the knowledge and mental structure of the manager and employees.

The essence of the manager's work style

The manager's work style shows his entire line of leadership and activity. It is organically linked to the methods and tools that the manager uses at all stages of the management process. The manager's style is found in the decision-making process, in planning the strategy and policy of the company's development, in the management organization, in the control of supply, production, sales, as well as in financial accounting.

To be able to effectively manage the company, the manager has a full range of economic, legal, moral means, as well as a system of methods of persuasion or coercion.

The manager's work style should be differentiated depending on the relevant conditions and tasks, as well as depending on the degree of development of the working group. The manager's behavior is of particular importance for the formation of a normal attitude and a proper atmosphere in a trading company.

Style and managerial authority

In the management process, the method of influence through action plays an important role. Evaluation is an important element in this mechanism of action. It's about thanking the manager for his help, as well as other employees. It also takes into account the assessment that employees give to the manager, as well as the mutual assessment between the employees themselves.

The assessment includes a report on the detected and analyzed characteristics of either the model or their classification.

The responsibility of the manager plays an important role in the optimal functioning of the management system. It is a means by which the subordination of the will of the collective to the will of the manager is ensured. In the management process, the achievement of authority also implies the achievement of consensus on the part of the one over whom it is carried out. The combination of institutional power with informal power with managers is a condition for conscious discipline of employees, one of the psychosocial reasons that determine the performance of orderly work, obtaining adequate results in the overall activities of a commercial company.

In a trading company, we can find two forms of power: the first form of power is formal - legal. It is based on legitimacy, position, and the ability to punish a manager. The second form of power is functional. This is based on the professional competence of the manager, his intellectual and psychosocial contacts, and his experience in dealing with employees. These two forms can be found in relation to coexistence or disjunction. In the first situation, the functional authority of the manager supports and strengthens the formal one. In the second situation, we may witness tension and organizational dysfunctions. Hence the need for the manager to behave in such a way as to prevent the occurrence of conflicting states, to instill trust and respect, firmness and conviction in his managerial acts. One should not forget that authority is created and asserted as a result of a number of objective and subjective factors. Objective factors include:

- a psychosocial position held by a manager in a trading company;

- the powers vested in him by the general meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors;

- opportunities and conditions for using various tools to perform their managerial functions.

However, the main role in the formation of managerial authority is played by the subjective factor, respectively, the qualities possessed by the manager. Ambo Market
